About Us
Itsinu is an experiential leadership development programme designed to help staff, students and teams discover leadership from within. Through immersive, location based challenges and reflective workshops, participants explore communication, collaboration, and self-awareness in a way that bridges theory and practice. The programme integrates seamlessly with personal development and employability modules, offering tangible, assessment-ready learning outcomes for universities, colleges, businesses and organisations.
Our Story
Itsinu was created from a simple observation — leadership is often talked about, but rarely experienced.
After more than 18 years working within the healthcare industry
Alongside this, experience gained through coaching sport in the United States, running a personal fitness business, and working in people-focused environments highlighted a consistent theme: people learn best when they are placed in real situations, not theoretical ones.
The gap became clear.
Leadership development was often confined to classrooms, frameworks, and discussion — but rarely tested in real-world conditions. Itsinu was built to change that. By creating immersive, challenge-based experiences, we place individuals and teams in environments where leadership naturally emerges — where they must think, adapt, communicate, and make decisions in real time.
But the experience is only part of the journey. Through structured reflection, participants gain a deeper understanding of how they lead, how others experience them, and how they can grow.

About
Michael Proud - Founder
Michael Proud is the founder of Itsinu, bringing over 11 years of experience in the NHS leading programmes designed to tackle complex behavioural and public health challenges, including childhood obesity.
Throughout his career, he has worked across multiple environments — from coaching football in the United States to running his own fitness business — gaining first-hand insight into how individuals perform, communicate, and lead under pressure.
What became clear is that leadership cannot be taught through theory alone. It is shaped through real experiences, real decisions, and real consequences.
Itsinu was built on this principle — to create environments where leadership is not explained, but experienced.
Driven by a passion for helping people realise their potential, Michael believes that everyone has the capacity to lead — they just need the right environment to discover it.
